Vintage 1980s IKEA Laurids Lønborg Dress Girl Wire Clothes Stand (silver)
$699.00
Designed by Laurids Lønborg for IKEA in the 1980s, this wonderfully eccentric postmodern “Dress Girl” is formed from black steel wire into an exaggerated female silhouette, finished with a small wooden ball at the top.
Originally designed as a playful bedroom clothes stand, she works just as beautifully today as a sculptural object — drape her with a favourite jacket, scarves or jewellery, or leave her completely bare and let the silhouette do the talking.
A brilliant example of the humour and experimentation found in 1980s design, and exactly the sort of unusual vintage piece we love at Saint Salvage.
